activities appropriate to the needs of participants.
Describe the needs of participants. (including
the NAOMIE training model)
Demonstrate the appropriate use of materials/resources.
Choose an appropriate range of activities and demonstrate the awareness of the importance of play.
- Relate to club members, colleagues
and others.
Demonstrate ways of communicating with a range
of people, using appropriate language and non-verbal means of
communicating.
- Contribute to the organisation of
the club.
Complete necessary administrative and
organisation requirements. For example, keeping registers, collecting
subs, coffee bar supervision, supervising play, selecting, checking and
setting of equipment.
- Understand appropriate health and
safety requirements.
Demonstrate the necessary health and safety
practices to ensure the well being of club members as they arrive,
during club time and on leaving. For example:
Signing in and leaving procedures; checking on the appropriateness of club visitors and strangers;
any gender considerations; knowledge of first aid policy and procedures; and
the selection, checking and setting of equipment,
- Understanding equal opportunity
considerations.
Demonstrate equal opportunity considerations
through the use of language, choice of activities, advertising, choice
of equipment and access considerations.
