Training~Principles and Ethics |
The importance of establishing a principles and ethics policy for the youth service resulted in an all staff workshop at Llantarnam Leisure Centre in April 2004. The workshop outlined the need for safe practices of work and the importance of adopting a professional approach when working with young people. The session was presented by Mr Alun Griffiths of the Wales Youth Agency and his enthusiastic approach to the subject brought more than a few points of discussion. A decision was made to set up a sub group to look at developing a policy for Torfaen Youth Service and this will be formed in November 2004 with the policy being produced in early 2005. The Torfaen Youth Service Principles and Ethics policy will be published on this website when it has been ratified. |
