Pontypool Carnival 2005 |

Following our successful entry at Cwmbran Carnival in June 2005 the Mabinogion characters resurfaced at Pontypool Carnival in July 2005 This time however the 5 metre tall characters were joined by a forty foot long giant red dragon. The puppets, part of the musical youth project were made by members of Ashley House, Coed Eva, Croesyceiliog and Griffithstown youth centres under the watchful eye of Nikki, a talented artist from Cardiff. The characters drew lots of spontaneous applause from the many thousands of people who lined the streets to watch what must surely have been the best carnival in the town for many years.
