Torfaen Local Health Group, in partnership with
Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust are delighted to announce that a weekly young
persons clinic based in Cwmbran Health Centre will offer a
range of services and advice to young people up to the age of 25.
Staffed by a doctor, nurse and a trained
counsellor and open from 12 noon to 3.00 pm, each Saturday it will provide
sexual health and contraception advice and services. Staff can also refer
young people to specialist services.
The need for a Saturday Young Persons Clinic has
been raised by young people during various consultation events and they
have been actively involved in developing publicity materials for the
clinic.
The Health Centre also provides a Young Persons
Clinic on Mondays 4.30 pm– 6.30 pm.
