| As part of the Award programme in general the Open Award Centre encourages participants to gain accreditation for their efforts. These include a Medic First Aid Response course which is a valid First Aid Certificated qualification. This course include First Aid techniques such as CPR, fractures, bleeding and choking. Other accreditation which the Open Award Centre offers include Bronze Medallion in Swimming, OCN courses covering subjects such as team work, map reading, swimming for improvers and navigation skills. Participants may also qualify for a Mayors Award and the Open award Centre actively recognises the achievements of the young people at award presentation evenings. | |
