The Torfaen Youth Service Duke Of Edinburgh
Open Award Centre is based at
Llantarnam Leisure Centre, Cwmbran

. Meetings are held every Friday
between 6.30pm and 9.00pm.
Expedition training is delivered every week,
other sessions include fitness training,
swimming, sports and OCN courses.
Sessions are just 50p  per week attended. 
We currently have groups operating at
Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
New members are welcome.
 No previous experience necessary

View the 2008 Bronze expedition report

The Open Award Silver Group went to Germany in October 2008 to complete their expedition section of the award. The expedition took place in the area surrounding Bretten and Bruchsal, the twin towns of Pontypool and Bretten. The group spent five days in Germany, three days on the expedition and a further two days exploring their twin towns.
The expedition walk was 48kms.
