Objectives:
To ensure that all participants:-
- can explain the Torfaen C-CARD Scheme,
why we need it and how it will operate;
- have an opportunity to reflect on their sexual
attitudes and values;
- are aware of different types of condoms available,
and those offered by the Scheme;
- understand, and are able to apply,
the Fraser guidelines;
- explore equal opportunity issues;
- can explain confidentiality, and its limits;
- have a basic understanding of STI's';
- have a knowledge of what local sexual health services
are available;
- are confident in demonstrating putting on a condom,
and know what to do in the event of its failure or one not being used;
- understand child protection issues, specific issues
relating to under 16s and the law;
- know what to do in case they come across potential
adverse reaction to the Scheme, or the attention of the media;
- know what is involved in issuing a C-CARD, condoms
and sexual health information;
- feel comfortable to ask any questions, which will
either be addressed during the day or as soon as possible.
