Charity Fundraising-Ashley House Junior Centre

Ashley House Junior Youth Centre has raised large sums of money for charity for a number of years. Their best effort to date occurred   in December 2003 when they donated cheques totalling over £1900.00 to two local charities.

The money was divided equally between Ty Hafan, the charity which is raising money for the building of a Children's Hospital in Cardiff and their favourite local charity CHYPS. CHYPS is a charity which supports young people whose lives have been touched by friends or relatives who have been affected by cancer.

The money was raised through a number of charity events and we are really proud of the extra special efforts of club leader Mr Terry Lewis. In recognition of his past efforts Terry was, during a visit to his full time employers factory in America, presented with a cheque for $2000.00 by Arvin Meritor. This sum boosted the club charity efforts to new heights.
